Please reach us at  if you cannot find an answer to your question.

FFCRA is the Families First Coronavirus Response Act.

This FFCRA includes financial supports to individuals, self-employed persons, and small businesses negatively affected by the Covid-19 pandemic.

"The FFCRA, passed in March 2020, allows eligible self-employed individuals who, due to COVID-19 are unable to work or telework for reasons relating to their own health or to care for a family member to claim refundable tax credits to offset their federal income tax." (www.IRS.gov)

Self-employed persons (most commonly 1099 workers). In general, qualified applicants must be able to report they could not work because they:

  • personally had Covid
  • were told subject to a government initiated quarantine
  • told by a medical professional to self-quarantine due to Covid concerns
  • were seeking a diagnosis, immunization, or treatment for Covid
  • were suffering from illness related to receiving the Covid immunization

                                              AND/OR

  • took care of a son or daughter whose school or place or care closed due to Covid
  • took care of an individual who was subject to a government initiated quarantine
  • took care of an individual that was advised to self-quarantine by a medical professional due to concerns
  • took care of an individual due to illness related to receiving the Covid immunization

The FFCRA is NOT A LOAN. It is a NON-TAXABLE credit given to those that qualify. The credit will reduce how much you owe the IRS for 2020 and 2021. If you owed the IRS, you will owe them less. If they owed you, they owe you MORE. Once you get your check in your hands you can SPEND IT ANY WAY YOU WANT. Seriously. Use it to pay bills, help your business, go back to school, or even by a boat. The choice is up to you.

The first step is reaching out to our team via phone or email. In one short conversation, we will be able to tell you if you are likely to qualify. If it looks like you are a candidate, we will email you a list of documents to upload and a link to upload them to.

In order to process your application and ensure you can get the most money back, we typically need to see:

  • a copy of your tax returns for 2019, 2020, and 2021 including all schedules.
  • a list of days you couldn't work due to the reasons listed above (it can even be hand-written)

Can't find all your forms? No worries. At www.IRS.gov , you can create a free account to access all the tax and income statements filed for you to the IRS. Once you are in, Print a Transcript (leave "Customer File Number" blank and hit go. The transcripts aren't pretty, but they work.

YES! The service we provide will be used to amend your 2020 and 2021 taxes. You only have 3 years to amend which means you have until April 15th, 2024 to claim credits from 2020 and until April 15th, 2025 to claim 2021 credits. If you filed an extension in 20 or 21, we may have some extra time.. ACT FAST!
